In his latter years with HSBC, David was responsible for the implementation of the Commercial Banking FCR Framework (Global Standards programme) in the United Arab Emirates & Middle East.

Following this David led Client Due Diligence (CDD) implementation and key de-risking & remediation projects across ASP, specifically Singapore & Hong Kong. In his last Head Office role, as Global Head of FCR Training & Communications, David delivered a number of unique & innovative solutions, including the deployment of the Commercial Bank’s biggest ever strategic training programme ‘Managing Financial Crime Risk’…a vital enabler allowing HSBC to deliver on its Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) commitments and achieve the end of its US monitorship & Section 166 order. Embedding FCR capability within front line teams, he led the design, development and execution of 900+ courses to over 16,500 staff across the Commercial Bank’s 54 international markets.

An experienced and engaging facilitator himself, David personally delivered the global ‘Train The Trainer’ programme and multiple courses across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
